Following the strategy to eliminate all my stash of single balls of yarn I keep mixing colors in unexpected combinations. That's why the new CAL "Lillana" by Hooked on Sunshine was perfect for me. Actually, I immediately started 3 different projects based on this crochet design. I will show all of them in the next blog posts but right now it's the moment to talk about the first one.
I named this project as "Tibetan crochet blanket". The selection of yarn was absolutely random, I took all the balls of the same thread thickness and tried to create a nice color scheme. Only later, after I finished the first part of the pattern, it reminded me of traditional tibetan jewelry and my future crochet blanket finally got a name.
I keep the track of my work on Ravelry: Tibetan crochet blanket (Lilliana CAL), including references to the yarns used in this project.

After finishing part 2 this work looks like a finished piece and could serve as a table mat, for example.
