May be this is one of the rare cases when I would like to take some action after reading a book like contacting the author and saying “thank you”. The funny thing is that this is not the first book of Julia Cameron I've read. My creative journey started with ‘The Artists way” and “Walking in this world”. I liked both books for wisdom and openness, advice and inspiration that helped me to know much better the creative side of me. Even the part of doing exercises was always important for me as well, although it was not exactly a perfect match for my personality.
I continued with “The right to write” and it was a blessing to me. I enjoyed every moment of reading and working with the tasks. I was always writing for myself, usually in my diaries. From time to time I was creating some short stories for my future grandkids. Yes, I like to kid I’ll be the wise loving grandmother who will have a lot of stories to share and laugh about. And you know what? I’m seriously reconsidering my statement. After finishing the book I feel so motivated and decided to start writing my stories right now.
Julia, I need to thank you for this wonderful experience. The incredible thing is that your book also brought me a great company of my friend Mercedes. We were reading “The right to write” together from the beginning to the end for about 7 months, meeting each other once a week, working together, finding new interesting places around us, sharing new discoveries and encouraging one another to keep trying. I’m absolutely sure this incredible opportunity would never have happened without your book.
I feel confident and finally lost my fear of writing in English. It’s not my native language but who cares? Life is about gaining experience, telling stories, connecting with people, events and places. And I realized I have so many things to share that I need to start writing right now. I’ll never be the same after reading this book and this important transformation is already making my life brighter.
Thank you, Julia. I will continue reading your books and I wish you lots of happy hours writing your stories for the joy of all of us and your pleasure as well.
